A Heart Full Of Gratitude: Why I am running to council

If you had told me years ago that I would be stepping up to run for Council, I may have smiled and said that I am busy enough. But life has a wonderful way of guiding us exactly where we need to be. Today, as I write my very first blog, my heart is incredibly full.
More than anything, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to my family, my friends and the neighbors who have encouraged me to take this leap, but most of all to the entire community. Having the opportunity to officially put my name forward for Council is a privilege I don't take lightly.
Roots, Growth and Giving Back
This community is where I raised my children, where I've rolled up my sleaves and continue to roll up my sleaves for local volunteer work. I love every minute of giving back to the community, especially in a community that gave so much to our family. My love for this town and Brock township has only grown.
Running for Council isn't about politics for me. Its about service. Its about looking at the place that has given my family so much and asking, "How can I give back in a way that ensures a bright, vibrant future for all of us?"
Building a Connection
Over the next few months, I’m looking forward to a lot of things, but what I’m excited about most is listening.
Campaigns can get noisy, but my goal is to keep things grounded. I want to hear your stories, your concerns, your ideas, and your hopes for our neighborhoods. I want you to know who I am, what I stand for, and just how deeply I care about the well-being of our community.
My hope is that over the coming months, we will find common ground and build a genuine connection. I want to earn your trust, not just your vote.
The Journey Ahead
This is just the beginning of the conversation. I plan to use this space to share my honest thoughts, updates from the campaign trail, and ideas for our future.
Thank you for giving me the space to share my heart today. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and I truly hope to earn the privilege of working hard for you.
If you see me out and about, please stop and say hello—I can’t wait to chat!
